Elevation Certificate

Have you received a notification from your Title Company or lender that your property now resides in a flood zone and that you will need to pay for costly flood insurance? Are you buying new property and want to ensure that it is not in a flood zone? TKM Land Surveyors can help you by providing an Elevation Certificate which will either prove, or disprove, this re-classification of your property. If the information disproves this re-classification, TKM Land Surveyors can walk you through the process of providing this information to FEMA to avoid costly flood insurance. An elevation certificate that negates the re-classification of your property as being in the "flood zone" generally pays for itself in less than 6 - 8 months. FEMA uses the Elevation Certificate to determine if a Letter of Map Amendment or Letter of Map Correction can be prepared for your site. Your insurance agent uses the elevation certificate to calculate the proper insurance premium rate.
