Record of Survey Map
TKM Land Surveyors, as well as other land surveyors licensed by the State of California, must adhere to Section 8762 of the Professional Land Surveyor's Act as it relates to the filing of a record of survey. Records of survey must be filed with the County Recorder's Office when required, within 90 days of the date the survey is completed if a material discrepancy or a physical change is found with existing monuments of record or other information that might lead to an alternate location of the property line.
Many times, TKM Land Surveyors can alert clients "up front" to the need for a record of survey by evaluating official county documents. Other times, TKM Land Surveyors may discover the need for a record of survey at some point during the project. In the event a Record of Survey is required, clients will be notified immediately regarding the costs and the nature of the material discrepancy or physical change.
